WPJA

I am so happy to let you know that I am now a proud member of the WPJA, as well the [AG]WPJA. I received the news on Friday morning, and I am still walking on air!

Here is a quote from the WPJA website that explains what they are all about: “The Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) is a professional organization composed of photojournalists and wedding photographers from around the world. What sets our members apart in the industry is their candid, documentary approach – a distinctly artistic vision toward wedding photography.”

And the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association [AG]WPJA : “The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association [AG]WPJA is a group of international wedding photojournalists, who capture unscripted wedding moments as they happen, and excel in the art of post-production image processing. The [AG]WPJA is a division within the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA); one which specifically promotes Fine Art Wedding Photojournalism.”

The WPJA recognizes wedding photographers from all over the world, but they are not that well know in South Africa, yet. Currently I am only one of two photographers from SA on WPJA and the only SA photographer on [AG]WPJA.

I am incredibly honored to be recognized by these two associations!
