So, I thought it was about time to post a few of our wedding photos. I have put off blogging the day, because I am really not good with writing about stuff, and the day was really just so magical, and I don’t think my words will ever give justice to how perfect it was.
So instead of writing I will just give you a few photos. Nikki Meyer was our wonderful photographer and all the photos are her’s.

I loved all the little details.

I wanted a vintage feel for the day and so we decided to use old tea cups and saucers for flowers pots.
Most of the tea cups and other vases actually came out of my mother’s house.

Yvette and my mom hand made flower broaches for all the woman at the wedding, and they where put in these
handmade boxes and tied with ribbon and paper strips.

This old typewriter was our guest book. It was a huge hit, and you won’t believe the cool messages we got from our friends and family. It’s really something special and I am considering framing the pages with all the messages on.

Lindie (Pieter’s sister) made our cake toppings and Pieter’s mother made this deathly delicious cake from a recipe
that I got from a friend. The little dolls even had purple shoes and socks ;)

You see how terrible I am at writing. I haven’t even mentioned that we got married at the beautiful Emily Moon River Lodge
in Plettenberg Bay. We did’nt have to go far our photos.

I searched for months for purple socks for Pieter, but it seems purple socks in size 12 are not to popular.
Luckily Ilze found a pair after a extensive sock shopping spree in the shops of London ;)

And that is not even half of it. The day really was perfect, and I wouldn’t change a thing about it. I just wish it didn’t go by so fast. I would have liked to spend allot more time with our friends and family, especially because there are friends that we really do not get to see very often.
And it’s really great to be married. To all the bride’s to be, you’ll see what I mean once you get there. It makes all the preparations, hard decisions and yes, the stress, totally worth it.
Unfortunately being married has finally confirmed what I have suspected for a while – the kitchen and I are not friends … ;)

Absolutely gorgeous!! Congrats!
Awww! everything looks so pretty. I love the typewriter idea, its the best. And the shoes and socks are awesome. Nikki did a great job with your photos. You guys looks so great together. Enjoy!
Hehe, thank you so much Elliétte. It was an all round awesome day!
