As I said in my previous post I had the huge pleasure to witness one of my oldest friends getting married to the man of her dreams in few weeks ago. Sophia and I have been friends since grade one, and although we don’t see each other much and live in different continents, we kept in touch and it makes me truly happy to see my her so happy. As silly as that may sound, it’s the absolute, simple truth.
Sophia and Wessel had their ceremony and reception at Platrand Lodge just outside Ladysmith. What a magnificent view we had during the outside ceremony! And Sophia obviously looked totally gorgeous - a classic beauty.
I was there as a guest and not a photographer (what a nice change!), but naturally I had my camera there and luckily so as I had to stand in for the main photographer for a while when Sophia arrived at the venue. Mostly I just did the Uncle Bob thing (all the wedding photographers will know what I’m talking about!) from my seat next to the aisle.
A few shots …

All the flower girls – so cute

Moments before walking out ...

The flower girls again, walking down the aisle

Sophia asked me if I could, to please get a photo of Wessel’s face when he saw her the first time. Well, this is it. Just look at his smile!

See what I mean with the happiness?

I don’t know what they put in those little bottles, but I have never seen so many bubbles before!

Sophia and Wessel, I wish ALL the happiness in the world above anything else!

if these are uncle bob pics, i definitely am making sure uncle bob doesn’t rock up at one of the weddings i’m covering! LOL!
