What a busy but {very} happy week this has been.
We had the privilege to shoot Sunelle and Coenie’s wedding on Saturday. From the time we did their engagement photos I knew we are going to have no problems to deliver stunning photos to them. These two are the coolest couple. Just by the way Sunelle looks at Coenie and by the way he touches her face it’s clear that they love each other deeply.
They got married in the beautiful 180 year old stone church in Pacaltsdorp, and the reception was held at the Blue Whale Resort.
Sunelle’s sister helping her with the veil
Sunelle’s dress was gorgeous and the best thing is that her mother made it herself!
The ceremony was very emotional and touching. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the church.
Married!
They had so many wonderful moments and they were very relaxed in front of the camera.
This was a very touching moment (again).
Coenie went trough allot of trouble to organize for permission to do these photos in the very private nature reserve of Ballot’s Bay. This specific part is a (very very high) cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean in the reserve. It’s a breathtaking view and a very special spot. They plan on building a little chapel here that overlooks the ocean.
Prior to this photo Coenie carried Sunelle down to the cliff on his back and asked her to keep her eyes close till he said she may open them. This photo is when she opened her eyes …
How romantic is this guy. He brought wine and chocolates to enjoy while looking over the ocean into the sunset. I don’t think we once told them to pose or do anything. Every single photo happened because they made it happened. It makes them so much more special.
I have so many photos of the day. It was hard to choose which ones to post.
Coenie and Sunelle, you are both beautiful people, inside and out and it was a joy to photograph your wedding. I hope you like the end results.
